In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people to get her to share a TED-like experience. Ata TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.(Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

The TEDx Anchor Program in India is a dynamic cultural ideas exchange, designed to celebrate TEDx events around the world. Through a strategic partnership with Infosys, a global leader in consulting, technology, outsourcing and next-generation services, The TEDx Anchor Program will kick of with a two-year, 14-city pilot in India.
The TEDx Anchor Program works closely with local TEDx events and their organizers to provide personalized support, foster civic engagement at the local level and ultimately help to build stronger, more connected communities.
