The Journey So Far – TEDxHyderabad

With less than a month to go for TEDxHyderabad’s flagship 2500 curated attendee event of the year, themed “DO” and being held at the majestic Gachibowli indoor stadium it’s time to pause and look back at the journey it has been and how far we have come.

It all started with a social media post where TEDxHyderabad licensee Anthony Vipin Das called out for applications for a team that would bring together  perspective altering experiences for the citizens of Hyderabad starting with the very first event – TEDxHyderabad Live .

In 2015 as TEDxHyderabad dug in it’s grassroots – it build up a community of thinkers, enablers and doers having a diverse group of people through it’s events – TEDxHyderabad Women and TEDxHyderabad Youth .

2015 also had Hyderabad’s first ever city wide TEDx event – TEDxHyderabad 2015 –  ”Unfolding Journeys ” which had 500 curated attendees come together to experience the TEDx format.

In 2016, TEDxHyderabad scaled higher by being recognised as the as one of the most innovative TEDx in the world – holding the world’s first ever TEDx Salon on a bus. 5 such salons were held on topics ranging from Technology and Innovation to Civic Responsibility. These salons acted as a catalyst for change and have lead to initiatives such as Live the Lakes and 10k First Responders.

We also had  some amazing live stream events –  TEDxHyderabad Live,Youth and Women 2016

With the 2016 flagship event – TEDxHyderabad 2016 – Crafting Our Future , TEDxHyderabad became one of the biggest TEDxs in India with 1500 curated attendees.

This year after having had a fun TEDxHyderabad Live 2017 and 4 amazing salons we walk towards another milestone.

18 events. 4000 attendees. 3 years.

It’s been one amazing ride. At the very essence of what we do is the team working day in and day out to design mind altering experiences. Our team is an eclectic bunch from architects to doctors, from engineers to event managers.

Our core team consists of

TEDxHyderabad has been a part of many amazing journeys, we were honored to have the 2017 PadmaShri awardee Chintakindi Mallesham on our stage last year along with the sureshot Gagan Narang and our very own attendee turned speaker and India’s first ever woman blade runner Kiran Kanojia. Our social impact initiatives such as Live the Lake have been applauded and supported by the government. Ideas that impact lives lead to action and action leads to change, as a team we aim to do that one idea at a time.
