Palam Kalyanasundaram

An award winning social service man who owes his inspiration of serving the poor to his mother is an example of sheer selfless service to humanity in today’s ‘bad’ world. The United Nations calls him one of the most outstanding people of the 20th century and The International Biographical Centre, Cambridge honours him as the ‘noblest in the world’. Many accolades, many rewards and innumerable laurels do not define his service or even his social goals. A man who is not impressed by money, luxury or any worldly pleasures describes in simple language, the magical feeling of ‘being able to donate money for charity out of your own earnings’. After donating a massive amount of INR 30 crores to the needy and poor, the best librarian in India wishes to serve humanity until his last breath, inspiring a hundred more to do so, by his simple words.
