Rachel Thomas

India’s first woman to skydive over the North Pole, Padmashree Awardee Rachel Thomas decided to taste the thrill of Skydiving 40 years ago, with two young kids in tow! And then there was no stopping her – Since her first jump in 1979, she has completed 650 jumps in 18 countries, representing India at various National and International competitions. She is the recipient of National Adventure Sports Award (now known as the Tensing Norgay Award), Indira Priyadarshini Award, and the Railway Minister’s Award.
